Layouts from the Army book that I made for my dad. Some of these pictures were taken by my dad and others were taken by Jon Gately, whom I found on the internet by accident. He served on this ship almost 10 years exactly before my dad was on it.
Journaling on the page is a combination of my dad's personal memories of being on the ship and going to Vietnam and also historical data on this particular ship. The dogtag on the map indicates where some of the pictures were taken and the dates my dad was at that particular location.
