My hubby chose the title name for this layout! :) I took this photo from my backyard. We love watching the local farmers harvest their crops, and the hay bales always look so beautiful and golden in the sunset!

My goal for this layout was to try different techniques. I did a little more distressing than I sometimes do; I did some stitching; I used gelatos on a stamp, spritzed it with water, and stamped and then fussy-cut the plants in the bottom left; and I was inspired by Melissa ("Scraphouse") to use multi-media on my chipboard piece. For that, I used Gesso first. Then, I used some Distress Ink on the leaves, followed by Distress Crackle Paint. I used a dry brush technique on the brown stalk to make it look sort of wooden. And I used Distress Stain on the flower and bud, followed by two colours of pearlescent paint in certain areas, and then seed beads in two colours. I also tried to add a little more texture and dimension to this layout.

This layout was made using scraps of paper from other layouts.

The white seed-like die-cuts were cut by my mom ("Quick Silver") on her Cricut for me, and I added some Liquid Pearls. The Dusty Attic chipboard flower was a gift from Gabrielle ("Gabriellep").

THANK YOU TO MY MOM, GABI, AND MELISSA! AND THANK YOU TO ALL WHO LEAVE A COMMENT FOR MY READING PLEASURE!
