Journaling: (behind the photo) I should have been born in the 50s with the hot pink and black colors adorning every aspect of that retro era. Even when pink and black aren’t the “in” thing, I can’t help but pair the two together for a bold statement. When the scrapbooking industry trends took a turn towards my two favorite colors, I truly was tickled pink and black! I couldn’t get enough papers, fibers, twill, ribbons, embellishments . . . you name it . . . and all of it, you guessed it, pink and black.
Pink is romantic and charming while black is a color of rebellion. The two colors combined denote the true essence of myself . . . the consummate smart-aleck. My sometimes caustic attitude is often seen as humorous and charming. Why not wear my heart on my sleeve, so to speak, and show the world what I’m truly made of?
Yes, I know that not everyone understands the psychology of colors but wearing pink and black almost feels like I’m drawing my inner self out for the world to see. So? Let the world see the real me . . . the true me . . . . the smart-aleck me.
Besides, the inner me is a lot thinner than the outer me.
