This is a lo I made for my best friend Michelle, and scrapping it was nerve-wracking!! I have been putting off scrapping a lo about our friendship because I have so many things to say, so many memories that I want to capture, and everytime I sat down to do a page, nothing would come to me. I think I buckled under the pressure to make the *perfect* lo. Well, this lo is definitely less than perfect - case in point: the oh-so-original title. But it is done. The journaling reads:

4,615 Days and counting...
I can hardly believe so much time has gone by since we met our freshman year in college. I am truly grateful that today, some thirteen years later, we are closer than ever. You are my confidante, my shopping pal, my mentor, my lunch date, my editor, my therapist, my partner in crime. You have stuck by me over the years regardless of what I have (or have not) done. You pushed me to demand the most out of life, to go after my dreams, and to stand up for myself. You have always believed in me, and even when I lost faith in myself, you refused to give up on me.

So on this day, my graduation day, I am not just celebrating the fact that I now have a Masters degree. I am also reflecting on how truly blessed I am to have you as my best friend. I would not have survived college or graduate school without your help. I would not be where I am today without you. I am eternally grateful for your friendship and I am looking forward to the adventures that lie ahead of us - marriage, motherhood, mid-career changes, and everything in between.
