This old bouncing horse has been at my in-laws for years. Riding it is almost like a rite of passage for the grandkids and great-grandkids. DH & I tried for many, many years to have Sam so watching all of our nieces and nephews getting to ride left us a little wistful for watching our own child ride it. Kinda silly, but I guess every family has their little things and this horse is one of ours.
Journaling: Through the years I’ve watched nieces and nephews riding this old horse at Mimi & Papaw’s house. I longed for the days when I would have a child who could ride it, too. It has been in the family for almost 30 years. Mimi would bring it downstairs each time the next one of her grandchildren was old enough to ride it. She isn’t here to see you ride it, but I can just her her saying Giddy Up!.
