My Pick of the Patch

This is a repost...I posted it early in March..My DD, Traci, and dgs, Jacob on a visit to the pumpkin "patch" in 2006. This is my FIRST "hybrid" layout (I guess that's what you'd call it!) The background is one of the photos of the pumpkin patch that I did a little photo editing on...made it VERY big, then put some layers of white (low opacity) over the photo then printed it on 12 x 12 solid white cardstock. I was so excited with the finished "paper"!!!! The "rick-rack" is actually thin strips of cardstock that I cut with my pinking shears -- which works out perfectly if you don't have rickrack on hand to match your layout! The curling vines under the flower are just very thin strips of cardstock curled around my paper piercer. Journaling strips read:

Jacob, I love your big blue eyes and those sweet dimples! You stole my heart from the moment I first held you. I love these pictures made with your mommy at the pumpkin patch. You were having such a great time picking out your very own pumpkin.
