this is my take on the Hodge Podge Challenge. the challenge was to scrap ourselves. I did this layout yesterday, which was obviously a really bad day for me. hahaha. the journaling is much more how i was feeling in the moment... not necessarily my view on life. things were just sort of in my face yesterday, but life seems a little lighter and brighter today. (thank goodness!!)

JOURNALING: Life is not always rainbows & butterflies. I am not as together as I appear. I am weak and scared and I am uncomfortably aware at how easily it can all be taken away. I miss the safety of not knowing. I miss the freedom of being naive. With knowledge comes accountability... it's a burden that seems to out-weigh the confusion of the misinformed. The fight for freedom of the ties that bind takes much less energy than straining to hold the knot in place. However in the midst of that fight, it seems as if there is no end. As if I'm intertwined within that knot and the shock of the cold air that some would call redemption is staggering and almost stifling. How do I adapt? This is not a rhetorical question, but one that I have yet to receive an answer. Until that answer comes, what choice do I have? I will smiply smile and hold it together.
