Love your take on the yellow ribbon on the old oak tree...looks fabulous on a cactus too! :D That quote is so fitting for this page...God bless our men and women in the armed forces!
what a beautiful lo and i am sure your sil will appreciate the thoughtfullnes of this. the yellow ribbon is beautifully placed, and the angel is watching over her, i'm sure!
Very sweet! How long will she be deployed? My elemetary school often 'adopts' a person and their unit to send cards, etc to. If you think she would be interested in receiving mail from small people you can pm me her info and I'll pass it along to the school.
This is really beautiful. I hope lots of people send her emails, so it will take her mind off the war. Its not about the war. Its about our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, etc being over putting their lives on the line. They need our support!
Your layout holds much sentimental value!!! The embellies are beautiful..I like her name, cause that's my name too!! Just thought I'd add that! Love how you added some delicate embellies to the picture frame too! Beautiful!!
This is my SIL, Sherry. She was deployed to IRAQ around the 8th of September. I was pretty much at a loss when my BIL (Arnie) died, that I didn't think of doing something for her. She's in the Air Force, an RN. She's very lonely. I want to give her email address so if you want to send a word or mail a joke, I know she would appreciate it, and she would share it with the military friends at her posts. She's sent some letters describing horrible things that happen there. She's from Tucson (transplanted from Washington) I was thinking of "Tie a Yellow Ribbon around the old oak tree...Not many oak trees in Sherry's neighborhood. I like to use natural background when I get the chance, so I took the liberty of putting the ribbon on a perfect place on a suaro cactus. I know, that's probably spelled wrong. All of our troops need support. Letters and emails from home mean all the world to them. socks off!
