LOve this page and your journaling! I especially like that you put the covers of the books on this page and used her monograms!! Nice job. I have felt this way about reading since I was little also! :-)
I did this layout for a challenge at http://www.scrapwhispers.blogspot.com/ It was to use Nancy Drew as your inspiration. Since I have stories behind everything, I chose to focus more on my journaling. Had a difficult time scanning this w/ all the bulky embellies.
The Journaling States: Nancy Drew and I go way back. She was the first series of books I fell in love with as a child and I couldn't read enough of her. I wasn't lucky enough to own the series but my friend had them all and I would borrow from the “Margie Library” anytime I needed a new Nancy Drew to read. However, Nancy got me into a lot of trouble at school. You see, I would read these mystery books when I was supposed to be doing my work. One day in fourth grade, instead of doing my spelling, I was reading a really juicy Nancy Drew mystery. My teacher apparently was trying to get my attention, but to no avail. She had the whole class get up, walk quietly out of the room, and then she shut the lights off and shut the door. I didn't even realize it until a few minutes later!! I looked up and the whole class was peeking through the door laughing!! My mother was SO MAD!!! I would love to say this taught me a valuable lesson but I would be lying. I am still this way with books. And Nancy will always have a very special spot in my heart.
