Journaling: St. Patrick's Day Has Never Been A Particularly Special Holiday To Me. First, I'm Predominantly Danish (I Think I May Have Some Irish In Me From My Mothers Side) And Second, I've Never Really Thought Of Myself As "Lucky". You Know, The Kind Of Guy Who Finds A $50 Bill Laying On The Sidewalk, Or Who Enters A Sweepstakes To Win A New Car And Actually Wins! This Year Though, I Discovered A New Meaning To The Term Lucky. I Came Home From What I Thought Of As Another Days Work And Found That Andrea Had Gotten Me A St. Patrick's Day Cake As A Surprise. This Surprise Was Just Another Special Reminder Of How Lucky I Am To Have A Woman Like Her In My Life, But It Also Opened My Mind To A Variety Of Things I Hadn't Perceived As "Lucky" Before. This St. Patrick's Day Was The First In A Long Time That I Was Not Drinking: I Was Actually About 3 Months Sober. I Had Survived A Work Merger With Another Company And Was Enjoying A More Successful And Promising Career Than Before. I Had Even Rebuilt My Before Wrecked Financial Credit To Where I Had Been Able To Purchase A New (Ok, It's A 2002, But That's New To Me!) Car! Luck Should Not Be Defined By Money Or Fame; Can One Definition Of Luck Cover Every Individual With The Same Validity? Each Person Can Have Their Own Kind Of Luck, Their Own Brand Of Good Fortune. By My Own Newly Realized Definition Of Luck, I Found That I Am The Luckiest Man On Earth.
