What a clever layout! I absolutely LOVE the flower made from the avocado netting. I have thrown out tons of that netting that onions come in, but now I might save a few! Love the tongue-in-cheek journaling, too!
Forgot to mention that even the elastic, used to thread through the netting to fashion a flower, was from a sachet envelope. The funniest thing is that it doesn't look any better with the bling...LOL
For a private challenge using items from my recycle bins. Plain white paper, from the inside of a scrapbook page jacket, was sponge painted to match the card which I recycled. Netting from an avocado bag was fashioned into a flower (and I use that term loosely), painted and placed at the top left corner. Also rescued were: Tin foil, gold foil from a box of chocolates, a lid from a sardine can (hammered for texture), discarded bits of paper (rescued from our fire box, to create hearts and stamped images), emblems from a box of tea, Tim Horton's box logo and two pieces of damaged lace. The original card was wrapped in a fabric softening sheet then glorified with a little glitter. The original journaling from the card is "proudly displayed", edged with old nail polish that I was saving for some useful purpose, such as this masterpiece. (I can't stop laughing.)
