I wrote this poem a few days after my Mother in law passed away for her online guest book. It reads....

There are no tears in Heaven,
The Good Book does explain.
But as we laid our Mom to rest,
There came a gentle rain.
I pictured angels weeping,
And Heaven came alive.
The wait was finally over,
Their angel had arrived.
I know the Lord had missed her,
The beauty of her smile.
I'm so glad that He shared her,
If only for a while.
When God laid eyes upon her,
The tears streamed down His face.
He wrapped His arms around her,
In a Heavenly embrace.
My child, I've surely missed you,
For all the years that passed.
Your work on Earth has ended,
You're finally home at last.
We've just begun to miss her,
Our angel, we adore.
But God longed for His child,
And will miss her , nevermore.
The drops that fell upon us,
Were tears of angels high.
When Heaven welcomes angels home,
And as we say goodbye.
