This is a very nice layout! It's so hard to do a "guy" layout, but you don't look like had any trouble! I like the piece of hay paper in the corner. I wish I had as many nice "leftovers" that you do!

This is fantastic!!!! For all us city slickers, I appreciate the explanation. LOL The page arrangement, color, & details work together to make a cohesive whole that is so pleasing....LOVE, love, love that you put words between the journaling strips. favs :-)
This sure does give me an appreciation for the "Country Life"!!! I love the color combo ~ It fits just perfectly for your theme! Love the pic, too! Great memory and wonderful layout!!!
This is my youngest son, maybe 10 or so years ago. (Can't remember) We had cut the field and were baling hay and putting it in the barn to sell during the winter months.
This is for the ‘use your scraps' challenge. (Lots of journaling here!) I'm embarrassed to say that the letters are left over from a layout I made in August 2005. (yikes!) The matting papers are scraps as well as the papers for the journaling. The flowers were also punched out of leftover paper. Even the twine is a leftover!
Journaling strips say: It's hot, itchy, sticky, sweaty, dirty, hard work. Everyone should give it a try … at least once! This is definitely NOT a wimpy Job! LOVE that country life!
Journaling under the picture says: "bucking hay" = a type of manual labor where hay bales, usually 85 lb. to as much as 150 lb., are stacked by hand in a storage area such as a barn, or stacked on a vehicle for transportation, such as a wagon or semi truck for delivery to where the hay is needed. The act of throwing the bales up to a higher level is called "bucking". The work is very strenuous and physically demanding, and is dependent upon using a proper technique in order to not grow weary too quickly.
Also several ‘odds and ends' rub on phrases. The hand is a clipart off my computer.
