I like this LO. I love how you done the photo's, the big one of the white house, and the smaller ones of Obama. Also the journalling is lovely, it speaks greatly to the imaginary...I could see you and yer family sitting in front of the telly being all excited by just reading the journal. I've followed this election and hoped Obama would win as it would be a great chance and change for America to do things differently for a change. Both me children are both Dutch and American citizens with the majority of the family living in America so thus for us its just as important and exciting to see and experience this. There was history written when he was voted President.
Really great and inspiring LO. Well done!
Journaling reads: I can't help but reflect on the changes that have come about this past year and how they affect my families growth and maturity. Like for instance this year I have no children in single digit ages anymore. That is a milestone in itself, and my oldest son moved out of his teens. I also had my first child voting in an election, and what an important election it was. I felt so strongly about this election and that if we were going to have a shot at rescuing our nation then we had to vote for a change in parties. I have sat through many elections with my family and I never could get my kids interest in any, until this year. The excitment in our house was one I will never forget. The younger kids didn't really care but my older kids and myself sat glued to the TV waiting for the East coast polls to close. We ordered pizza and had an election party. Jillian and I took turns taking pictures of the TV and the results of each state and cheered everytime Obama took a state. The excitment we felt when Obama won was one I will remember forever. What a joyous time for my family and our country. A change will Come!!!
