Because most of the members of the DT have been "Bitten" by the Twilight bug, we were given an optional DT challenge to scrap a page about the series this month - here's my take. I almost always think Goth when I think of vampires and so I tried to give this page that kind of feel.
Journaling : What do I love most about these books? It’s hard to say really. It could be that there’s no swearing. Not one single word. Not in any of the four books. It could be that the main characters are not intimate with each other until after they are married ~ by his choice. We need more male role models like that. I wouldn’t be afraid to have my daughter read these books when she gets older ~ vampires notwithstanding. Mostly it’s because of the writing; the beautiful way the story comes together, the way Stephenie captures your attention from page one and leaves you wanting more at the end of the book. The incurable romantic in me loves a “true love” story and this book matches what I’ve always thought that love should really be ~ simple and pure. I hope she never stops writing.
