Don't why you are afraid to try new things--everything you do turns out beautifully! You have a good eye and real talent. I know what you mean about the clean house. Vita is looking very well now. Congratulations on another great job.
This is great. I've felt exactly like you over stamping, Peggy and didn't dare to do it for a long time. Am now getting more courageous and yes, it's as you say, even the parts that didn't come out that well somehow add something to the lo. Maybe one of these days we'll both actually LOVE stamping! Keep at it! But back to this one - it really is lovely.
good for you for trying something new! so many of us get stuck doing the same techniques over and over... and congrats on your stamping effort, isn't it fun? I didn't even realize that the border was stamped til you mentioned it - I think I have that same one & now I have a great idea for using it!
Your place looks lovely Peggy and I feel the same. I can't scrap when my place is a mess so I don't get much scrapping done! Love the water colour effect, and the stamping and your puppy is gorgeous too!! xx
Glad you were brave enough to try the stamping. It looks great. Don't you love trying something new? Love getting a peek at your home also. So neat and pretty. I always look forward to your Lo's. They are always each one different and I so admire that. ~~~~JoAnn
I absolutely love the stamping! Like you, it was hard for me to stamp on my pages..... Just something that couldn't be undone ya know? This looks fantastic, and I love that paper!
I really adore the way you have gotten really creative with the stamps and watercolors here Peggy. I know that feeling of wanting tidiness, never can make it last either. Have a good weekend I'm expecting snow. lol
Great pages! I don't stamp much on my LO's because I am scared to mess them up-- I do stamp a lot on cards, though! I think we all say that about our houses! :)
I've said this before, but I'm really having loads of fun trying out new things on these pages. This time I did some stamping for the very first time ... most of you will think, so what!, but for one reason or the other I was afraid to stamp on my LO's, silly I know, but that's the way it is. I'm hoping after this I will have the confidence to stamp on my 12x12 LO's as well... I really like the stamped border around the pages, and would love to try that again.
Once I decided I would stamp, I was thinking what would go with that to liven up the pages a bit, and I came up with painting with distress inks and a waterbrush. It gives a real cool dirty look I was going for. I also like the look of a stamp that wasn't applied in full, like a part of the left border and the mahogany stamp next to the pics on the left page. This were actually mistakes, but I'll be doing that again I'm sure!
Journaling reads: 1/6: I'm always in a much better mood and feeling a lot more positve when my house is clean. Nicely cleaned, no more stuff lying around, it should be like it is on the pics all of the time. And each time I've cleaned up, I'm thinking: "This time I'm going to keep it like this" ... Well, I can dream, can't I? 1/7: So Cold! While we're almost freezing to death when we go outside, Vita doesn't seem to mind the cold at all!
Off now to try something new on the next pages! TFL xxx Peggy
