AWWWW very sad.. I know your pain, Similar situation with my first pet Kitty. Still cry and its been over 10 years. I cremated her but didn't bury the ashes cause didn't want to leave her behind when we moved. She was my best friend, she was ALWAYS beside me, didn't matter where I was she was beside me. She even felt it necessary to visit while I was in the washroom. When I was sick she never left my side, just to eat and then back to the room she came. I was.. and still am heart broken when we had to put her down. Tears still whelm up in my eyes when I talk about her. Miss her dearly.
On 2/6 we had to put Lady down. She had gotten a fast spreading cancer and it spread all through her, so my dh decided to have the vet put her down instead of doing exploratory surgery. She was 18 yrs. old. After putting 4 cats down within the past 5 years, we knew the best way to ease the pain of losing one was to get another one, so we started looking immediately. We ended up driving 5 hours round trip to get Pretty Boy, but he is well worth it! TFL.
