I did this for the March military challenge. The requirements were: something green (i have a green string holding the envelope closed), representation of your country (It says US and USCG all over it!), and state the years in service (since 2001).
The journaling is about how when DH (db at the time) was in boot camp in Cape May, NJ I wrote to him every single day. I waited by the mailbox every Thursday morning, waiting for the mailman to bring me my weekly letter from him. This picture is on the day of his graduation--the first time I'd seen him or spoken to him in 8 weeks. He proposed that day. The big envelope contains several of my letters to him and all 6 of my letters from him are in the envelope in the top. Thanks for looking!
