Dink's Craft Studio

Okay ... here is the deal with my Craft Studio. I started off scrap booking nearly ten years ago when our first child Lilian was born. This was a project in it self, well mainly because I have a small (lol) case of OCD. It took me almost six months to figure out what “kind” of scrap booking I wanted to do. Be that as it may, I would scrap book on the kitchen table only after everyone went to sleep … pull it all out … then put it all back away. This remained the same for several months and it was getting really old!!! We then decided to finish the basement, equipped with a complete kitchen … my new scrapping space. For many years I went to garage sales, estate sales, and just shopped around to accumulate shelving and other nice bins. Over time I out grew that space and decided that it was time to create something new and beautiful in a different area of the basement. So I asked my darling husband … who TOTALLY ROCKS by the way, if I could design my perfect Craft Studio and he would do all the labor and call it my “Christmas gift” this past year (2008). Three long, I mean short months later I had my ribbon cutting ceremony (my sister-in-laws idea) with my best peeps over to do the first crop at the 3349½ Craft Studio. In my head I had been planning this for sometime, go figure. I knew exactly what I wanted, and I did NOT want to spend a fortune on it. Everything fell into place just right … it was PERFECT!!! The whole family benefits from this room … there is so much lighting now that I also cut hair in there as well. I truly feel TOTALLY spoiled now. Thanks to you who left me a message … I know if anyone could appreciate all the hard work it would be all of you … and if you are ever in my area … you better stop by! My husband thinks I am COMPLETELY out of my mind, and when I think about it, I just might be … and … I am perfectly okay with that!
