Description: For Holly's "trip to Mars" challenge.

"Girl, you are SO not going to believe what happened! I was enjoying a nice, quiet afternoon, when the phone rang. It was Dale. "Mom, come outside, I'm taking you for a ride". So I step out on my front porch. And this is what I saw!

Now, I know that there are a lot of military secrets that Dale has been unable to talk about. But who could have imagined that he was manning flights to Mars?? And who would have dreamed that these flights took place on the "weinermobile"????

Anyway, we climbed in, and off we went. Oh, the sights we saw! I never would have guessed that, along the way, I'd actually get to see a PEGASUS! SO TOTALLY COOL!!!!

When we arrived on Mars, it looked pretty much just like the pictures we've all seen...red, sandy. But the "people"! They actually sort of freaked me out, although there was something vaguely familiar about them!

They were all female, oddly enough, and the "arms crossed, screaming in your face" gesture is how they show respect to visitors.

Now, they did offer us lunch. But they seemed to enjoy dining on electronics, as shown in one photo. I don't know about you, but I'm not into chewing on hardware!

So we reluctantly said our good-byes, and they gifted Dale with a huge bouquet of (piano keys?), saying he was a lovely lady, and he should "ditch the odd-looking guy" he had brought along. All in all, it was an awesome trip, even though I was the "ODDBALL"!
