Jen, I love everything about this page. Great design and pp choice and I adore the pocket. I love the sweet photo and your journaling is just wonderful. What a delightful spirit of adventure your daughter has. But I can't imagine sending my babies off like that. I don't even like leaving them at daycare, lol. I think it's wonderful that your daughter is teaching overseas. What an education for her and terrific exposure to other cultures. You must be so proud.
Kudos to her! Shes gonna have lots of great stories when she gets old :-) You must be SO proud off her. Aside from missing her like crazy. I can't imagine not seeing my boys on a regular basis-though I know that day will come.
I love this and totally identify with it too as I have a travelling daughter (and a lo of us both weeping at the airport!). Great that we can let them 'fly' - in all senses of the word!
This is gorgeous. Love the colors and the title work. What an accomplishment that is for a such a young woman to have traveled that much and teach in another country. I cannot imagine saying goodbye for a year. I cried when my dd went to Costa Rica for a WEEK.
So special, a gorgeous lil lo, dont worry jen, my son and his wife spent a year in England, I was crying at the airport before they even had to board the flight. We are mothers, and you have this great foto
Just lovely, Jen! Darn, how hard to must be on you to have your child so far away. But, as long as she is happy and is doing what she wishes, it's great. But, how you must miss her! Gorgeous layout!!!
Awww, it is so hard to have a loved one (especially a child) so far away! My ds goes to Italy a couple times a year and I worry the whole time he is gone, I can't imagine what it must be like for you! Anyway, love the paper, love the journaling, as usual, beautiful job!
What a wonderful page ... even if it is covered in tears. Great idea to document all the countries she's been to, and how COOL that she has been to them all too! I think everyone should do a little traveling at some point in their life, but being a mom (and grandma) I understand about the separation....!
My DD at the airport on her way to Japan (she lives there-teaching English) after a very brief- 4 day-trip home for Christmas. The quote at bottom left says "All who wander are not lost". She has been driven to travel since high school. The pocket contains a list of countries she's been to(and lived) so far at age 25-LOTS! The other journaling reads "This picture is Sabrina at the S.F. airport departing to Japan where she works as a teacher. This photo means a lot to me as it's the last one I'll take of her for a YEAR! I don't know if she knows how hard it is as parents to see their only child go so far away and for so long." I'm surprised this pic turned out as I was crying as I took it. There is a companion pg with words to a song that goes with this LO. TFL!! jen
