SHCG: Luv the way the eye is just carried across the page like it is swimming. Perfect use of embellishments. The neutral background really brings out the color in the photos.
SHCG - Awesome! Brilliant use/placement of multiple pics, great shots too. Nice color choices, I love how the subdued neutral background comes alive w/ your pics, the blue splashes & the white borders. This LO is excellent as is, though I could see your addition of white dots working too. And as mentioned by Michelle, the date (unless it appears elsewhere in the book). Kudos to you for another fabulous zoo LO!
SHCG: Wow! Good shots can be tough in an aquarium, and these are great! I love the photo placement and the simplicity of this page. I can envision how the shimmer really adds to the spread. Before I read your description, I already thought of suggesting a little more white. I don't think I'd go with a line of dots around the edge of the block. Instead, I can see trios of white dots wherever the edges of your photo block form corners between two photos. I see five of them, one on either side of the top middle pic, for example, and I'd draw them shaped as corners rather than ellipses. Like this .: or :. I hope that makes sense. I also think this lo is great as is.
SHCG: Wow this is awesome Jen. Love the design and the rounded corners, your splashes are adorable. Maybe you can add some brads or bling to the upper right hand corner & the lower left hand corner-right on the white border. :)
SHCG: This is awesome the way it is! Great photos and the simple design makes the photos stand out so much more. I love the water splashes and the title! I was thinking you can add "photo corners" in few spots. I mean draw tin double lines with black pen-just in the corners(like the white lines you did on the bear BD card).I'll put them in the top left corner of the pic with the two white and black fish and the top left corner of the pic with the yellow fish on the left page. One more spot-the bottom right corner of the pic with the white and black fish on the right page. you can always take a sheet protector, draw the lines on it, put it on top of the lo and see if you like it or not, before you draw the lines on the actual lo. Did I confuse you enough? I hope not. It's really a great lo!
I think it's gorgeous as is! How about a few aqua dots on each end of the white strips, maybe 3 on the bottom left and 3 on the top right. Your work is very clean and beautiful!
shcg: I love what you did with the title and the pics are great. I think matting the pics with some blue/greens might make they pop a bit more. Or like you said with the white dots some doodling might add to it a bit too.
SHCG: I love aquariums and think this is a great layout. I would suggest making the background paper a different color though, maybe a green or lighter blue/turquoise. For some reason, I'm just not feeling that brown color.
SHCG: Beautiful pictures and I love the way you positioned them on the 2 pages. You mentioned a line of white dots and I think something like that, or water dot stickers (do you know which ones I mean?) around the border would be something to consider. I think that would "hold" the photos together. Maybe a stream of air bubbles going up from a select few of the pictures. Adding a date somewhere, maybe on a mat in a similar color to the title Aquarium. I am still in awe of the photos! Beautiful color combination!
The chipboard letters and splashes were colored with a Marvy Metallics pigment ink marker - it's a lot more shimmery than the picture shows!
I'm pretty sure this is missing something - I think I may want to add a line of white dots around the edge of the photo block, but I'm not entirely ready to commit to that yet :). Any suggestions are welcome!
