Fabulous page, just love your style, can't wait to go through your gallery and see what I've missed while travelling. Love all the hand cut embellies and the layering
I've been away from the site for a few days, and I see you've been busy! All of the layouts you've posted lately have been gorgeous as always, but this one is my particular favorite. I love the photo; it looks like many I have in my photo boxes. If I didn't look closely at the faces, I would swear it came straight from my collection! I love the layout, from the design to the colors and the flowers. But my favorite part is how you've used the music print throughout. It's just all spectacular!
WOW! You are so creative! I love how the cb shows around the circle. The photo is not that bad. I'm sure your Mom was proud of it. I know because my Mom was proud of the one my family had made around the same time---it was the fault of the times and styles!!!!!lol
I knew this was yours immediately, and of course noticed your gorgeous butterfly right away, LOL. (I started scrapping today - 1/2 hr. at a time. Hope to post my first LO in 3 months tomorrow. Just a simple one, but it feels good to be active again.)
Jackie, you can be sooo funny at times!! I saw this featured on the homepage and I immediately knew it was yours!!! Absolutely fabulous!!! It is a great family photo!!!
I love your story above about the photo and such. It made my laugh. The layout is dito to everything below. It is a wonderful layout. The butterfly is gorgeous!
Yet again... JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! it seems like everyone is enjoy scrapping the old photos at the moment... I love it, seems so much easier to do the old ones than the current ones.
ok...where do I start? the papers are gorgeous, the flowers are gorgeous, the butterfly is super gorgeous, the design is fabulous and that photo, so typical for it's time, is the best part of all! stunning+++
Even though you may not like it, I'm glad that you have at least one of your family all together and I'm happy that you scrapped it! Love how you designed this wonderful layout and I also love the elements and embellies you used!
This is, I think, a perfectly horrid photo of almost every member of my family, most especially me, but my dad was a school teacher and my mom a SAHM in an extremely rural small town where both opportunity and money were scarce, and this photo is the only family portrait we have. It was taken in 1970 when the styles too were awful, so that can take the blame at least in part.
I took apart a cb box for the bg and inked it with white and black on the edges. I cut a circle from the middle of this beautiful ds WP "Your Life" collection and reversed it, letting the cb outer rim show through. I stamped blue cs for the photo mat and title, which I cut with my silhouette. I also stamped the TA bingo card. I printed out the clip art butterfly on transparency pp and decorated it with a sharpie and stickles. The swirl is also made with stickles using the backing of a prima swirl as a pattern. The flowers are primas and the web lace May Art.
