I agree with Heather about the journaling being on the bottom, it would also make sense with the title, having it under his belt.. hehe... it could be done in a list form unless your sil wants to elaborate on the story of each surgery, like 1- 2-....the pic should be placed, matted over the pp, the matte could be the silvery paper to tie in the belt. Have her find the alpha she wants to use for the title an dplay with placement.
I would put the photo she wants to use on the top right. Offcentered a little bit and tucked slightly under the belt. On the bottom (green part) I would do all of the journaling. He's been through a lot, so I think you'd need the space. She could do journaling lines (my favorite) with a centering ruler. To pull in the color of the belt buckle a bit more, I'd try to mat the photo on the brown, and then again on the silver. Then she could do a title of some sort either on the top left, or on the very bottom of the page underneath the journaling. I hope that made sense. I really like the idea she has for the page, and think she's made a wonderful start! The belt looks really cool, and you know I love the cammo paper!
My sister-in-law needs help with this layout. She already glued this stuff down. What she wanted to do was create a layout for her son's first month, of everything he had "under his belt," such as surgeries. She also has at least one pic she wanted to include. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
