I took this photo for 2 challenges. 1 is on another board I am on... the theme was "music" and the other is for the September Photo of the Month Challenge "Abandon"
It may not be understood by some why I chose this is abandon... for me it's a couple of things... First... these were left (kind of abandoned) in a box in the garage and are in surprisingly good shape considering the conditions of the box they were in and the covers for each album. But secondly because I think (even though vinyl has made a reappearance) it's been abandoned for all the new forms ... cd's, mp3's, etc.
I took this on my kitchen table with a (rather sad) make shift light box. It was taken with my Canon PowerShot A710 and was edited a little in PhotoShop CS3.

This is a fantastic photo!! :) I totally agree with you about the way technology is rapidly advancing and leaving vinyl behind the same way it did the cassette tapes and 8 tracks.
