I made this layout and framed it for my cousin Charlotte as a thank you for her generosity to us. This is a photo of her cabin in the N. Ga. Mtns. She is always so gracious in letting us go up and stay whenever we want. The cabin was built in the 1850's and is furnished with beautiful antiques. It is the perfect getaway - a little bit of heaven on earth.

Sorry the pic of the layout isn't the best quality - couldn't get the colors to come out quite right, maybe because it's cloudy here today or because the overall layout is so dark. It's also not the clearest pic I've ever taken. Oh well.... the photo on the layout is very clear IRL - I just love this night shot of the cabin!

The pps are a mixture of Karen Foster, Graphic 45, Bo Bunny Press, Daisy D's and assorted cardstock. I distressed the edges of the larger mats and inked them. Then I added the stitched scallops and the little stamps around the scallops and the corners. The flowers and swirls(used Fancy Pants cb for pattern) are all handcut and inked. The butterflies were made with Martha Stewart punches and then doodled and inked. I added bits of glitter glue to the flowers, butterflies and along the bottom of the stamped words. The cream cs at the top is punched with a MS punch and then inked. I also stitched with red in the inner holes. The scalloped border under the pic is done with a Fiskars punch. The swirls, flowers, leaves and some butterflies are pop-dotted to give it dimension. The definition at the bottom is torn from an old dictionary and inked. The green leaf punched border was done with a Fiskars punch. The word "heaven" is handcut and inked and has bits of glitter on it also. I added lots of doodle dots with a Signo and Zig markers. Thanks so much for looking!
