Ha! Great story! Good to see that Lee moved past that and "allowed" you to scrap him with no oranges in his stocking! I love the circle and the scallop behind it, and great color choices! Non-traditional, yet you made them look great!
ROTFL!!!!! Oh, my, Patty.....he must have REALLY made an impression on you with that quote, and it is hilarious you remembered it all these years and put it on this LO!!!! This is humorous and sweet at the same time.....guess kids 'these days' do not appreciate an orange in their stocking! I put an orange in my dh stocking every year because his Mom used to, and it is just a sentimental thing I do to remember my MIL by. LOve this page, especially the accordian fold paper. Clever to paint the naked chipboard! Love the rounded corners and inking on this. Wonder what Lee will think of your journaling?! LOL~ Isn't it wonderful we can 'save' a memory this way? xxx
Painted the chipboard letters, pleated the strip of pp by CI, then assembled.
The picture is of my DS, Lee, who is holding his stocking. The journaling, "No demented Santas, please" refers to one christmas when he was about 10 years old. Santa put (among other things) an orange in his stocking, and his response on Christmas morning was, "What kind of demented Santa would put an orange in a kid's stocking?!!!" LOL
