Journaling: We walked along Harbor Drive to see all the ships and yachts including an America's Cup yacht, and we decided to tour the USS Midway.

This is for the January 2-page LO Challenge.

Also for the ABC Challenge Round 11 - NOP.
N - No squares allowed: Since I did a 2 pager, even my bg can be considered a rectangle.
O - Oct: We had to have 8 of something, I have 8 punched gold stars. Also, the twist was to have another set of 8, and I have 8 red holographic gem stickers (on the ends of the blue strip).
P - Paper Piecing: We had to make at least 2 paper pieced items. I hope mine count -- I cut out the two anchors from gold paper, chalked them, added the blue circles for the tie holes, punched and inked the blue and red stars, and put them all together. I also cut out the outlines of the letters 'c' & 'v' from the background of a sticker sheet, cut the 'c' & 'v' from gold paper, and put them together.

Also, the No Patterned Paper Challenge :)

I stamped my journaling lines on a scrap of blue cs and it fit perfectly inside the cb circle. All the other lighter blue cs was run through my Cuttlebug - love that Sizzix dot pattern. I doodled the border with navy Zig marker.

For the non-military out there - me included (I had to look it up) 'CV' is the designation for an aircraft carrier & 41 means the Midway is the 41st carrier built for the US Navy. The Midway was the longest serving carrier in US Navy history, 1945 - 1997. I highly recommend this tour if you are ever in San Diego.
