a conversation lachlan and i had one morning, yes, early morning... over cake! lol!
Lachlan: mama? can i have a piece of cake?
Me: huh? what? honey, it's 9 in the morning
Lachlan: i know. it's too early.... but can i just have a small one?
Me: yep. ok.
so he's eating his cake....
L: oops! i forgot!! mama? would you like a bite?
M: hahaha, no baby, mama doesn't like cake
L: (drops his spoon) (stands up...) WHAT??? you don't like cake? how come?
M: i don't know baby, it's too sweet. and i don't like how it feels in my mouth.
L: oh yea... you never eat chocolate or candy..... cause it's sweet?
M: yep
L: but you love me, and you always call ME sweets..... ( with a puzzled frown)
M: (again laughing) i know sweets, but i don't have to eat YOU.....
L: did you like cake and chocolate and sweets when you were a lizard?
M: a what? when i was little????
L: noooo, when you were a lizard. ?
so there i am looking at him, my poor logical brain trying to unscramble that question... and before i could recover he says....
oooooh, THAT"S why you like wasabi and horseradish!! (nodded to himself and went back to his cake and colouring.....
