I took this picture at the crack of dawn with not much natural light so it's a bit washed out. Another heritage page of yet another great-grandmother. I have pictures of all eight of my great- grandparents! This is the only picture of Amanda, taken probably in her late teens. She died at the young age of 42 after having eight children in Kansas, my grandmother being only 7 years old at the time. The opposite page in the scrapbook will be all journaling, because although I never knew her I do know a lot about her through research and family stories.
