For my BOM. About the support group that I run for parents of children/adults with developmental disabilities. I used the log that I made for the group as well as some of my autism related jewelry as images.
Journaling reads: "Sharing & Caring is a parent support group that I joined just after Kevin was diagnosed with autism. It was great to meet other parents that had similar stories to share. It helped me to become an advocate for my children and all children and adults with autism. I became a member of PACAS the state-wide group that evolved into the PA Bureau of Autism Services. Since 2002 I have been the facilitator for S&C. Sometimes I think I need to turn it over to someone else to free up time in my life. But then one more person tells me how much I've helped them and I just keep going."
"These are some of the pieces of jewelry that I wear to show my support of autism causes. I don't wear them all at the same time. But I've certainly acquired a few over the years!"
