Hidden Journaling:
Everyone likes a good game of cards, right? Whether it's guys poker night, or that riveting game of pea-knuckle that grams has to attend, playing cards brings people together for some fun competition with many different styles of games. For myself, I am in love with the game Phase 10. It's a fairly quick handed game that requires just as much strategy as it does luck. As my luck had it David had never played Phase 10 so I had the honor of introducing the game to him and instructing him on how to play… and putting the smack down on him hand after hand! :) You all know I love my darling David to death but he's so good at so many things that I couldn't help racking up win after win over him…only gloating occasionally, of course. This glorious time lasted for all of about 6 full games before the inevitable happened…David caught on to the game! Before I knew it he was winning individual rounds… then entire games! More often than not it's me that's asking him “wanna make it the best out of 5?”All teachers want their students to learn from them and become smarted and better prepared for life, not to come back to school after graduation with a Nobel prize or Pulitzer prize! Since Phase 10 was MY game first I haven't stopped playing David whenever the card playing bug bites, no matter how much tougher he is now. I just plan to use his amazing skills of learning against him. The next game I'm planning to show him is a little thing called “Remodel Your Bathroom”! :)
