Another page featuring my great-great grandparents.I would gues these photos were taken sometime in the 1880's,but not sure.I had done one similar to this before, but added it to my sister's scrapbook.I've spent so many hours on this one, trying to get it right,I've decided I'm keeping it for myself.
I used the beautiful new Capella collection from Basic Gray.I wanted this to look like the bodice of a dress from that era,so I used my Fiskars eyelet border punch on the background paper then corset-laced the green ribbon up the front.I then added the gorgeous pearl braid along either side. Then I used a MS punch on cream colored cardstock for the "collar".I made the high-top shoe using my Heritage cartridge from Cricut.I actually cut out 2 shoes, then cut hat I needed from the brown pair. Then detailed with Smooch and pen.I wouldn't even have thought about using it had I not seen the beautiful work by nfldmichelle! Thanks for the inspiration, girl! That's what it's all about, right?
Added some antique lace and buttons from that era, goodies from Prima and Tim Holtz and done.Oh,and the green cameo from Websters at the collar. Can't forget that! And it only took me,what....10 hours?!Ridiculous, right?!Thanks so much for checkin' it out!Hope you have a great week!~Grace
