Ohhh...this is so pretty! Straight to my faves! I love the butterflies, the heart, the 'stamps' with the arrows, the hearts on the arrow...well I just think everything is terrific.
Too cute! Seeing Cowboy looking through the door reminds me of our kids... LOL. I love all the arrows pointing at Cowboy!!! Cute "Happiness is..." tag! And a wonderful use for those butterflies. They look great on here!
I can't pick one thing I love more! I love the mood ofthe page how it has a folksy feel and the distressing on the arrow. So cute! Poor Cowboy - so glad he can enjoy Thanksgiving now!
Awww...little Cowboy did look upset. I'm glad now he gets to share Thanksgiving along with his family! :-) Fab layout & great job on using those scraps...
What a fun lo! I can't believe how many different challenges you can do with one page! The butterflies are beautiful and the hearts and arrows look great!
#1. Scrap Your Pet. This is from Thanksgiving at my sisters house a couple of years ago, before my mom was a "dog person." Poor Cowboy. He loves his family and to be left outside while everyone was eating turkey about broke his little heart. But grandma said, "don't let that dog in here..." so he stayed out. The next year, grandma got a schnauzer so now Cowboy gets to have Thanksgiving like a real person.
#2. Use your scraps. Everything you see on this page is a left over from some other project. The pp is all "pieces, including the base page - which I had cut a hole in to use an image from the back side. I've used 10 different papers on this page - including a left over paper bag rose from my "Sometimes...Life" LO. The heart buttons are left over from a heritage class that I taught at my LSS, and the heart is from an old Swirlydoos kit. The butterflies I'd cut out for another project, but they didn't look right so I'd tossed them into my "use this at some point" bowl that sits on my scrap desk.
#3. Monthly Sketch - Week 2. This was such a fun sketch. At first, I wasn't sure WHAT to do with it, so I went back through my photo disks and when I found this photo, I knew EXACTLY what to do.
#4. AGC 6-12 "Finish It Today" challenge. Melissa gave us a "catch up today" opportunity, so I took advantage of it to finish this one up. It didn't take much - just a little bit of bling and that last little ribbon touch.
Thanks for looking! I appreciate your comments and suggestions! I'm always looking for a way to improve - so I appreciate a fresh set of eyes on my project!
No hidden journaling on this one -- yet. I'll probably write something later about Cowboy and Grandma, but I'm not inspired yet.
