This is my dh and dd saying goodbye to eachother before my hubby left to go serve in OIF.
This is one of my favorite layouts I've done. I'm thinking it's the colors (soothing and calm sage and creams) and the emotions it evokes every time I look at it. I started this layout weeks ago but couldn't finish it for some reason. This morning I put final touches on it.
The journaling tag pulls out and says:

Watching you and Daddy say goodbye was pretty hard on me.
I knew he would miss his baby girl so much and also that in the following year he would miss special moments: your 1st birthday, first tooth, first steps, and many other things like watching you as your learn something new, playing & laughing with you, eating yummy meals and snacks together, and seeing your unique personality emerge every day.
I will try my best to capture these moments through pictures and video so that Daddy won't miss out completely - he can see these milestones recorded.
