Altered Baby Box

I made this box to match the Paper Bag Album that I made as a gift so that the album can fit down into the box for safe keeping. It was so hard to cut around the hardware that I finally just painted the upper half a metalic gold. It's hard to tell from the pic but actually looks pretty good. I had to place the ribbon around the center to hide the two different sections of paper because of the hardware. What a mess and I never again buy a box with the hardware already on it.
