oh - and with your wooden-block stamps, you might use a coupon at michaels and get yourself a stampamajig. check out youtube for some videos featuring it, and you'll see the value of it. i primarily use clear stamps but do have a few wooden block stamps and still may get a stampamajig becuase it gives you perfect placement.
chalks are fun. try this: use a lighter color (even white) chalk and make a puffy "halo" in the general area you're going to stamp - about the size of the stamp itself - on dark paper (black looks great). Then take black ink (i like archival or staz-on) and stamp the image on top of the chalk - then take more chalk and color it in. really pretty chalkboard effect. i did a cupcake like that and did the cherry on top with a glittery red gel pen. have fun!
The 2 lil buckets I got @ The Dollar Tree and all the alpha stamps I purchased @ AC Moore...all for $1.00 each! The chalk was an impulse buy because I see all the beautiful things you can do with em'. I hope to learn soon enough. I love the fact that with Scrapbooking....there is an endless supply of new things you can do and learn.
