I can't claim credit for this idea. I took a class at my LSS with Sarah - who is an AWESOME teacher, and learned the secret trick to create this cute quilt pattern.

The secret is a big a square punch. I used one to punch out all the patterned paper squares. Then I cut them on the diagonals, inked them, and glued them onto black base squares, which I'd also punched with my square punch.

It looks complicated, but it really wasn't. The trick was getting it square, and using a base square to glue onto really helped with that part.
