Summer 2010 Vacation in Dallas - We visited a Civil War Museum, and it was wonderfully air conditioned! Texas is an oven in the summer, so everyone enjoyed it! We are all history buffs, and they even had ladies clothes and quilts from the era for us ladies to see!

This was one of those pages that gave me fits... just a bunch of little fixes, but its done and in the book... whew! It is a scrap lift of Godschild94's "A Great Catch." Thanks for the inspiration! Instead of using a punched border, I used some trim I thought looked vintage, and some Prima I got on sale last week. Have had the Civil War paper since I found it at 75% off right after our trip. I used up some choice scraps from Paper Loft, DCWV, and Unknown.

Will continue holding myself accountable for shopping my stash and scraps first! If I buy something, I have to have a layout in progress or planning immediately to purchase it. I'm already seeing about a 90% increase in effective scrap usage since putting together the scraps at hand notebook.

2 more done in the Dallas travel book! Thanks for looking! That's my oldest DS, Nathan, who is 21 and in college. He's a computer science major, like my DH.

Note-I don't know why that one Prima flower on the right looks like it has a bright orange leaf and bling center, it isn't... if you look at the product photo below you can see the true color... flash did something funky to the image... sorry..
