I love the cornfield effect. The mats around those great pictures are perfect! Great page! Love those papers and colors. Love the comparison in the journaling.
Wowser! I like how you embossed the letters for the title, looks just like kernals of corn! As always I am so blown away how you are able to mix patterns so well!
This is just gorgeous, perfect pp choice, love the corn and of course great journaling, she would be so happy with this have you thought about taking a pic of it and sending to her?.....really beautiful LO, love it and great take on Heather's LO.
I love that you have documented this and are honoring her hard work. I'm sure her handmade tortillas are excellent. You found the perfect pp for this page.
Absolutely fabulous Marlene! I love the corn plants and the sun! Is that corn patterned paper on the title? Your journaling is awesome and so is the punching along the side.
For .http://www.cricutworld.blogspot.com/?action=view¤t=chrtw_button_transparent-1.png Journaling: Juanita, Kyle's neighbor, is shucking dried corn. It was grown and harvested on the small farm where she and her husband, Miguel, live. The kernels can be taken to a mill with an electric grinder although it is commonly done by hand. The meal is made into tortillas which are served at every meal. Nica women can turn out a stack of perfectly round tortillas in less time than it takes to walk to the dairy case and get to the cash register in a U.S. grocery store.
Juanita is a sweetheart, a great cook and makes excellent tortillas. She is amazing at making do with what is on hand. She and Miguel raised five children and now are the primary care-givers to two of their grandchildren The design was inspired by my friend Heather J. Landry
