Give a Cheer
Hi everyone! First off, I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the picture of the layout ... it's rainy and so dark here in Minnesota today, so I didn't have a lot of natural light to work with (and it sounds like none in the near future as it's supposed to SNOW again...)
This is a picture of myself on February 17, 2001. It was my freshman year of high school and I had spent the day at a Forensics meet (the speaking kind of forensics, not the criminal kind, lol). It was my first meet so I wasn't really sure what I was doing, and I'm sure I looked like a big dork fumbling around. However I did attract the attention of a really cute guy named Mike. Now, at the time, I was awkward, didn't really have many friends, and certainly no boys paid any attention to me. I had terrible acne and even worse self esteem. But Mike ... he was beyond his 16 years, and he helped me believe in myself and for the first time, made me feel beautiful. So this is me after the meet, just beyond myself with puppy love. Sadly, my relationship with Mike ended after 4 months because he ended up moving to Germany, of all places. (I did discover him on Facebook though, and we have caught up ... he is back living in Wisconsin, and yes ... he is happily married. lol.)
This layout was a bit of a disaster for me ... everything kept going wrong! And I don't know how many times I smudged my Stickles - I need to learn how to leave well enough alone! But I do love the flowers as they were about the only thing that didn't blow up on me ... I used the tutorial from Such a Wonderful Mess's blog ... her creations are so beautiful! Thank you! Also I had intended to do more stitching but I decided I needed to be done with this layout before I hurt myself. hehe.
And yes, it's another title based on a Taylor Swift song ... I am totally in love with that song!
