Such a tragic story! I think it's definitely good that you have the photo of him to scrap. The layout is beautiful. I think it's so cool that you added the penny.
Gorgeous page. Loved how you explored the theme, like an anti-hero where everybody else probably broached good luck. That penny was a special touch. Loving.
very sad story but a wondeful design you have created....a very special foto to have in your possession..one awesome jalopy there just like my grandad had..great display there of ornate gadgets.....luv your new avi too
Oh my gosh, Cheryl. This is such a tragic and very sad story. Your page is an amazing tribute to your great grandfather. That penny is the perfect touch. You rocked this challenge!!!!!
What a story behind this page...it's a classic photo & you scrapped this heritage page just right. I like all your metal embellishments & how you rolled the paper in the two corners...fabulous work!
Really cool tribute to an unlucky fella! I really love all the metal, the penny, and the papers! Great job and I Love that you went with bad luck instead of good!
You are a ROCKSTAR, my friend! This is so awesome! I love every detail...especially the old penny! What a tragic story, but so sweet of you to remember him this way! Love your journaling, too! Fave!!
*Steam punk Challenge ~ Luck* *Punky Scraps 3/5 Ingredient Challenge*
I used the Simply Steam punk kit for this tragic memory page. I went to the opposite end of lucky rather than sticking to good luck. I found the oldest penny I have dated 1919 to add on here, figuring this could have been in his pocket at that time.
Details on my blog. Thank you always!!!
My paternal great grandfather. Journal: This photo was taken during 1925, the same year Ziba was hijacked , robbed and shot to death on July 4th.
