How fortunate you are that your DH is such a good sport. Mine usually looks xxxxed off when I ask to take a photo - ROTF!!! Beautiful and endearing photo of the two of you. Super sweet and with such superb and wonderful details, Jen!
Jennifer, this page is stunning. You did a wonderful job here. Well done on the dryer sheet flowers. Love the distressing and the little bits of punch work and trim tucked here and there, it really doesn't need any more. What a handsome couple you 2 make! :0)
I wouldn't add another thing to this AMAZING lo. Your handmade embellies are creative and BEAUTIFUL. the stamping, inking and distressing are AWESOME. and the photo of you two is SWEET. Let's see - AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, AWESOME and SWEET - what more could you ask for????
Gorgeous layout and a sweet tribute to your bestest friend. I love the colors and design and the bits of black "lace" peeking out here and there, Also your flourishes look great...i need to practice getting all my dots the same size.
Awesome photo, Jennifer! You both look so happy and very adorable!!!!! And your page is absolutely amazing! I really love, and I mean LOVE, your hand-made creation!!!!! (Don't do another thing with it!)
I love this! You did a fabulous job with all of your stuff and all of those techniques that you used! What kind of back drop did you purchase? A piece of fabric or an actual board of some sort?
This was made for a challenge at Swirlydoos. Everything had to be handmade. Nothing out of a package. And the twist was to feature a friend.
This by far was THE most agonizing challenge I have done in my year at Swirlydoos. This has taken me hours and to look at it, it looks sparse. My hubby asked if that was it????? He is used to seeing a sneeze of stuff all over the page. LOL
I just had no idea what left I could make make so I cut my losses and gotta move on. I bought this cool stamp which I used for the background paper and also for the paper on my photo mat. Then I spritzed and inked my little heart out. Made the dryer sheet flowers from Gabrielle Pollacco's blog (thanks so much), and along the edges of the paper, I used the new prima masks and inked with a few different inks after I embossed the butterflies. phew - tired just explaining.
I used Liquid Pearls and made my butterfly flourishes. At the top of the page, I sewed beads to some scrap fibers.
And the twist - My best friend in the world, my husband. What an amazing gift for me and what a sweet and kind friend I have. I took the photo at Christmas 2010 using my remote control. I bought myself a black backdrop and wanted to give it a whirl and fortunately my husband is a great sport when it comes to me taking photos. Thanks for looking
