Bill was not sure at all about the color that Joe had selected for the living room. I absolutely loved it and everyone else loved it but Bill said he would be more comfortable if Joe chose white or a light neutral or beige. He let us know many times that he wasn't sure about the color and if it was his house he would choose white walls. To him, Joe's color was the color one would paint a battleship.
When they got the first coat painted Bill still wasn't sure about it at all. It dried darker than the wet paint and Bill was still making his thoughts known about how nice white would be. He asked the painter if he could paint something on the wall, if the next coat would cover it. The painter said he could cover over it and handed Bill the paintbrush.
He painted a huge “71” on the wall and told us he was decorating Joe's living room with a number so it could really look like a battleship.
I think Bill was amazed at how gorgeous the Moss green looks with the counters and other things in place. In fact, I think he actually likes the color now!
