A day at Brookfield Zoo in August 2007. The journaling is a series of captions written together under the photos of Cassie with the goats: 'Binti Jua with Bakari age 2 & Hudson Polar Bear 8 months & The sloth actually moved! & Nubian and Pygmy goats, Reindeer, and Bison :)' We've been members of this zoo since Cassie was a baby, and of course, it's the zoo I grew up going to too, so we are pretty familiar with the individual animals and keep track of the babies as they grow up. This was our first viewing of Hudson, but I've been taking photos of Bakari since he was born. You may remember his mother Binti Jua -- she made national news in the 90's when she rescued a 3 year old boy who fell 20 feet into the gorilla habitat by gently cradling him and carrying him to a door where the rescuers could get to him. I didn't get any really good pics this particular trip because I didn't take an SLR camera that day.
I used up some old CM paper and stickers with this LO and the 2 more LO's from this zoo trip. The 'Brookfield Zoo' on the right page with the cool animal font is the logo from the map.
