Give a Cheer
I'd wanted to make a monochromatic lime green layout about my Lyme adventures for months. When I saw the papers in this collection I finally got some creative surges, pulled out photos and got into the "zone."
Lyme has made an old-feeling person out of me, so I'm constantly looking for the humor of it and for ways to keep upbeat. For years I've used the phrase, "This is so good (food), I wish I could just have it in an IV," which is my way of saying "this is delicious." When I had to have a ChestPort for "real" IV's my phrase wasn't so funny anymore - especially when I was on a strict diet and nothing tasted delicious. I took these pictures to send to my friends who couldn't come and see me because of my compromised immune system, but wanted to be apprised of the situation. We had some good laughs putting junk food and my favorite salsa next to my line between treatments one day. Thanks for looking!
