Chapel Bridge is the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe. Built in 1333. The bridge is 670 feet long and spans the Reuss River. A fire in 1993 destroyed many of the paintings under the interior eaves that depicted Lucerne history. Fire damage is still visible today.
