My entry for May's Dark Side Challenge, to use a poem. Life a poem by my daughter, Kara, published in A Celebration of Poets, PA grade 4-6 Spring 2009. She wrote this after the passing of my mom and her other grandmother, for a young girl she has seen a lot of death.
The poem reads: Life is almost over it's ticking away, Tick, Tock, Tick Tock. I's almost over. Don't run, don't hide. It will find you. It will steal your loved ones. Tick, Tock, Tick Tock. Live your life the way you choose. Don't be a puppet on a tangled strings. Do anything you can with the ones you love. Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock.
