The following is a layout, I did for Celina-Our Mistress Of Mayhem's~ The Darkest Side Challenge~ over at Scraps Of Darkness. This months challenge topic was poetry, so I used my May Kit plus some stash pieces to scrap a poem that I wrote, called Legacy. The poem is about the ebe and flow of emotion that we experience after loosing someone we love.
The following are the words to the poem:
Legacy
Weep,
Oh my child, as the reality hits you
that from this world I am gone
Smile,
When you realize that through you,
a piece of me still lives on
Cry,
For the lose that makes you feel
that your world has been torn apart
Laugh,
When you realize that my love lives on
in the memories written on your heart
Grieve,
Without shame, let sorrow rage through
your body like a wild storm
Celebrate,
When you realize that my legacy lives on
through each new generation that is born
I hope you celebrate each precious day that you are given!

I really felt the warmth in this layout. I too write poetry and never though of using it in a scrapbook. You did a lovely job on this and I am using it as a sample so that when I am ready to put my scrapbook together, I can make my layout similar to yours. My scrapbooks are only for Habitat for Humanity Homes but with the ideas that you presented in this layout it give me somewhere different to start. Thanks so much for your creativity!

Oh my Goodness, Renea! This poem is beautiful! I am going through a time with my Mom and her recent diagnosis of Dimentia...Although she is still on this earth, a part of her is no longer with me, as I know her. Your layout is beautiful as well!
