I absolutely LOVE how you matted that photo!!! And I'm just stunned by the tile/pottery pieces!!! The colors are perfect and absolutely stunning on this page! Incredible work of art here, Jennifer!
Stunning! This is one experiment that did not blow up in your face (unlike some of my lab experiments in school-lol!) I love those blues, just fantastic with those colors and techniques!
What are you talking about with laughing along with you? This came out beautiful! It reminds me of something you'd find on one of the pages of Country Living magazine!
I think this is great!! Did you take a picture of yourself messy after this project? That could be a great layout too! Love how you incorporate unique things!
ceramic tiles and grout is actually something I've read in a magazine from YEARS ago. funny how some things come back in style (even for scrapbooking!)
The creativeness alone on this is just remarkable!! You think out of the box and go with the flow. That’s what sets you apart. I think you’re great, and your LO is to!!
love the blue paper and your distress misting, especially on the doilie, perfect colors for the beautiful photo, and wow on the touch of lace in the corner
This is so freaking pretty! Why is it everything you touch turns to gorgeous art?! Grout as the new gesso, what a deal! The mixture of colors and patterns is really wonderful!
I truly admire your creativity - Is there anything you won't try??? Your lo is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. The blues and yellows pop right off the page and your title/grout work is pretty amazing. Thanks for inspiring creativity is all of us. (I've been thinking about doing a tile backsplash on the wall behind my stove - interested in the job - or at least letting me borrow your itty bitty spatula???)
Now that's looks like a ton of fun!! I love getting messy. Love blue and yellow together, goes great with your photo. Grout and tiles, why not?? and the result is lovely!
My golly.........what a FABULOUS lo! I NEVER would have thought of putting tile on one, but it turned out so beautiful! I wish I were creative like you!
LOL...you are so unbelievably creative...who would think to scrap tiles! I think next time I break a piece of china, I will not despair...I will just scrap it!! Totally amazing and fabulous and I love the pops of yellow!
oh boy lol my endorphans are really flowing...you are getting more and more experimental..such a fun fun page and full marks for for the tile breaking/////awesome flowers there too
Purely experimental here so laugh along with me ok? Sometimes you have to play even if the results are not quite what you expected. While it is NOT a prize to look at, I had so much fun getting messy with tile grout and my itty bitty spatula.
Inspired by the Scraps of Darkness July Marrakesh Express Kit with it's robust colors and exotic theme, I had a photo given to me by my friends Alex and Valerie H from a recent trip to Morocco. It's a photo from one of the markets they visited. So very pretty and thanks a bunch Alex and Valerie. You were so kind.
I got my hands on some ceramic tiles and grout and decided to create a mosaic style LO. I had to use cardboard for the backing because tile and grout weigh about 80 lbs after you are done. Not even the best cardstock was up for that kind of smackdown.
I used my leftover elements from the Scraps of Darkness Kit. The kit was too much fun to pass up so I scrapped right down to the little pieces. Just a whole lot of gorgeous scrappy fun packed in that kit! I had a great time with this kit- even the paper scraps that I just could NOT throw away.
